Hi there! Are you ready for a story?
Arts and crafts have been a huge part of my life since I was little. I was constantly creating small trinkets for my family members and spending my free time creating something new.
Then, at the wonderful age of 13, I was in quarantine due to a corona infection in the family. After begging my mom to teach me how to crochet for ages, she put me to make single crochets for a couple days to get used to crochet. It was a bit boring but after two days of crochet, I made my first ever octopus.
Wow, the start of it all. After this little creature, I fell in love with crochet and after a year, I became a small business owner through 4H – at 14 years old. I spent a month or two using crochet patterns but quickly learned to crochet on my own so all my products nowadays are unique originals by me! I’ve been to loads of markets, opened (and eventually closed) my own website and now I’m here at FunDesign! My Instagram @mykawaiioctopi has been my main way of working on my small business but I’ve been to my fair share of markets – CUE THE PICTURES!
We’re almost at the end, hang in there! Now a little about the present me. First of all, hello I’m Riitu! I’m an 18 year old who loves to dance, sing, spend time with family and learn all about psychology. I’m an ylioppilas waiting to hopefully study psychology in university. I work as a small business owner and also do babysitting at times while waiting to see what the future brings.
