Veera Vartiainen’s (alias VV-machine, born 1990) artistic methods varies and combines ways from digital to recycled art. Her production consists surreal vector based imagery, repurposed statues, merging digital with analog and researching all technological possibilities. VV-machine has created art, organised alternative and low threshold cultural events and worked as a digital designer in Australia, Cambodia, China and Europe since the year 2011
Embracing the fun side of internet and technology, seeking lost knowledge from indigenous or alternative worldviews and reminiscing the gentle way of communication and interpretation. Digital aspect to VV-machine’s work enables her to challenge the traditional limitations of art, and allows her shapes and patterns to be copy and pasted without the limitation of time or form.
