Cotton Paper, 29.7 x 21 cm
There’s something magical about a rainy evening—the cozy feeling of watching droplets race down a window, the rhythmic hum of a tram carrying you through quiet city streets. This painting is inspired by my love for the little things: the scent of rain-soaked air, the clatter of trams, and the comforting nostalgia of my childhood.
Growing up, I’d listen to rain drumming on a tin roof in my grandpa’s shed, surrounded by tools and trinkets waiting for their moment of purpose. Now, living in Helsinki—a city where trams weave stories across every corner—I’ve captured this moment of stillness and warmth.
For me, rain and trams are like a portal to another world, much like the adventures of Max Frei. Maybe this piece will take you somewhere special, too.
