This new adventure allows an artistic liberty and Renaissance not previously permitted, allowing her to continue to explore concocting monsters and fantasy creatures outside of a game illustration setting. The chinese-inspired dragon with its wild eyes, reckless indifference and forcefully confined movement reflects the artist&#8217;s inner restlessness. The subject (woman) projects outer stillness which is forced, annoyed and uncomfortable in what feels like a hurricane of sharp, scaled movement.\u00a0 This contrast represents the journey through surviving birth trauma (experienced silently by 45% of women) while navigating early motherhood away from family in a foreign country.
