Spore Symphony – Handmade Mushroom Art

Perhaps an ode to the much loved mushrooms and its abundant growth all over the country! Ahead of the harsh winters, one will find a variety of edible and non-edible fungi spurting along the forest path, below the trees where growth and lifecycle thrives.

As someone with an allergy to mushrooms, I can only adore their growth and presence from a distance and am very curious about their purpose. My fascination has found expression through different kinds of paper sculptures and I enjoy creating their form and dimensions.

This wall decor piece depicts various mushrooms that are found in the forests of Finland and are created using paper mache, 100% sustainable paper, German crepe paper, white non-toxic glue, gouache paints and pan pastels for colours.
