About the artwork: There is a special night market in the center of Bogota called the Samper Mendoza market. Hundreds of farmers from all over Colombia come to the capital city 2 times a week to sell their produce from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am. It is a place where the delicious scent of herbs, the night and sleepiness are the protagonists. This cyanotype is a way to portray the dreamlike experience I had during that visit.
About the artist: Laura Salazar is a multidisciplinary photographer based in Helsinki. She takes inspiration from the quotidian life and the elements around her.
