I wanted to experiment using some cotton canvas scraps and how they might look pasted together. I built layers on this using recycled canvas scraps, using it as a palette (some dried acrylic layers), crayons, and acrylics, then sanding and scraping away at it with sandpaper and a knife respectively.
I used crayons for their texture, but I was also reminded of using them quite a lot in kindergarten & elementary school. So this painting is a collection of sun memories from that time collaged together.
